Question about Faction - Guild Wars Forums

I know that when you PvP in the arena's, HoH, GvG, etc you get faction based off enemies you killed, consecutive wins, flawless victories, etc...

What I'm wondering is the PvE PvP your forced to do.. do you automatically get 10 faction in that fight no matter what happens? (you know, the academy PvP that happens...)

I'm just wondering because I've been through it twice since they implemented faction and have 20 faction (heh, I don't PvP..). I won both times, never died.. one time won with 6 kills vs 0 kills (ie flawless victory) and other time was 5 kills vs 1 kill (not sure who died.. wasn't me anyways).. but only got 10 faction both times.

So was just wondering if the faction is pre-set to be 10 in that fight no matter what happens.. ie if you loose would you still get 10 faction?

[EDIT] Yes, you do get 10 Faction, win or lose in Pre-Searing PvP test thingy.

Hello,

I just started playing for like 3 weeks now. First some quests, then created a PvP char. As soon i got some faction points, i wanted to spend them. I have a Warrior/Monk, so i'm planning on unlocking something for my sword. But i'm not sure how i can put that in my weapon of my pvp char. And where can my pvp char use his skill point? I didn't see any master to use it.

I don't want to waste my faction points on something, since for me it's hard to get.

A couple of more tiny questions... (sorry)
Can i put a weapon/armour from quest char in my storage and use them with my pvp char?
Can i use runes twice? Let's say 2x rune for +1 swordmanship?

1. Yes, your pvp char should have access to the storage. As long as your PvE character did not "customize" that weapon, then the pvp char can use it.

2. no. Armor is given out as customized so can only be used by the character which gets it. and pvp cars start with the highest AL armor's anyways.

3. You can use up to 5 runes at a time. runes don't stack however, only the highest effect is used -ie 1 minor rune od swordsmanship & 1 major rune of swordsmanship on same character would mean only the major rune's bonus is used. Or if you puse 2 minor's of the same attribute you only get the effect of 1 of the runes.

4. to use faction you need to get to a Priest of Balthazar, which are located throughout the PvE world - you can only exchange faction for unlocks via these priests, and you can only get to the priests via a PvE character.

5. If you unlock something and want to add it to a pvp character you need to delete that character and re-roll them. Don't worry as you don't loose any faction, fame, etc when you do this as those are tied to your account, not the character's. PvP characters are designed to to be re-made as needed/wanted like this.
